Case Management staff are available to provide personalized
help to elders in need of case management services, program
information
or linkage with other service providers.
Elder
Nutrition Services
Includes Meals on Wheels, Community Luncheon sites, nutrition
assessment and education.
Senior HelpLine
The Senior HelpLine provides easy phone access to elders,
their families or caregivers in need of information about
services and programs.
State Health Insurance Program
Volunteers are trained to help elders with health insurance
paperwork, claim forms and medigap policy comparison.
Community Development
Community Resource Developers work in partnership with community
groups to identify elder needs and find local solutions.
Peer Support
Seniors experiencing emotional stresses are offered suport
by volunteers who have been trained in listening and communication
skills.
Senior Companion Program (SCP)
SVCOA is the host agency for the Senior Companion Program
in both counties. Companions work with homebound adults who
need regular
contact and personal attention due to emotional and /or physical
frailty.
AmeriCorps
Neighbor to Neighbor Program
AmeriCorps members assist SVCOA Case Management and Community
Development Departments in their work with elders.
Volunteer
Opportunities
SVCOA programs provide meaningful and satisfying volunteer
opportunities.
Caregiver Support Services
Information and support for persons providing care to individuals
60 or older and caregivers 60 years of age and older who are
primary caregivers for children under 18.
